Join us for Atlantic Canada's most colourful festival held in Sussex, New Brunswick, every September on the weekend following Labour Day.  Up to 30 hot air balloons fly twice daily (weather permitting), outdoor bandstand, huge indoor market, amusement rides, vendors and so much more!

Flights are $260.00 per person. *Must have cash *

For those who wish to fly together please indicate on the form when filling it out. Groups of four people are most manageable, as most balloon baskets are designed to fit four plus the pilot.

We ask that you be as honest as possible with your weight as it is to ensure safety regulations for the flights are met. If your weight is above 320lbs - *note that you may be asked to purchase two flights.

The reason we ask for your weight is because each balloon and basket can hold different weight capacities depending on the shape and design of the balloon. When factoring in weights, we are also looking at the propane and equipment the pilot requires in the basket. With knowing your accurate weight it allows the flight coordinator to safely place people ensuring they will receive the most of their flight experience.

WHAT’S GOING ON?

Land Owners:

We rely on the amazing landowners of Sussex and surrounding areas to let our balloonists land on their fields. Without the support from landowners this event would not be possible.

The committee understands how some landowners would prefer that we do not use their land and we ask that you send an email to info@atlanticballoonfiesta.ca so we can let our balloonists know.

OUTDOOR FOOD & NON-FOOD VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE PLEASE CLICK HERE

PLEASE NOTE that the application form has been updated as of May 2022

• The Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Committee does its best to ensure that as many outdoor vendors as possible have the opportunity to participate, but due to the sheer volume of applicants, an application does not guarantee a spot at the Balloon Fiesta. All vendor applications are submitted to the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Committee for approval and all decisions are final. 

• Outdoor vendors who are invited to participate will receive an email confirmation by June 8 2022. We apologize in advance that not all vendors who apply will be approved. Outdoor vendors who are not approved will also be notified by June 8 2022.

• NEW THIS YEAR — NO CASH will be accepted during the event from outdoor vendors. Approved outdoor vendors will be required to send a post dated cheque for the full payment prior to the event. Payment details will be communicated to the approved vendors using the email address in the applications by June 8 2022.

• Spaces will be reserved on a first come first reserved basis with prior pre-registered vendors given priority/preference for booth requests. Spaces are decreased in number this year to account for social distancing and safe traffic flow. 

• PLEASE NOTE: not everyone will get their same places as in previous years as we have new vendors with different structures, and Covid 19 Public Health considerations; but we will do our best to accommodate you.  All vendor spaces are located on the floor of the 8th Hussars Sports Centre and a diagram of the floor is available.

POLICIES 

Please note that there is a NO DOGS policy on our grounds during the fiesta. As we are an extremely crowded event with a lot of noise, we ask that you leave all dogs at home where they will be most comfortable. DO NOT leave dogs in vehicles. *Service animals are welcome. 

We have a NO DRONES policy for our fiesta as per Transport Canada regulations. Festival area is a CLOSED AIRSPACE for the duration of the Fiesta.

Thank you for your understanding as the safety of our balloons and spectators is our number one priority!
